Shell Vial Finish |

The Shell Vial Finish is also called a Fire-Polished Neck, where the opening of the vial has the same dimensions as the walls of the vials. |
Flat Crimp Finish |
|
The Flat Crimp Finish is available in 11 mm for the 12x32 mm dimension, and in 20 mm for the headspace vials. |
Tapered Crimp Finish |
|
Alternatively, a Tapered Crimp Finish is available in 20 mm for the headspace vials. |
Snap Finish |
|
The Snap Finish is available in 11 mm for the 12x32 mm dimension and is compatible with both crimp closures and PE snap closures. |
8-425 Screw Thread Finishes |
|
The 8-425 Screw Thread Finish is a standard screw thread finishes as outlined by GPI. The threads run down to the shoulder of the vial. The 8-425 Screw Thread Finish has a Standard Opening. |
9 mm Screw Thread |
|
The 9 mm Short Screw Thread finish is designed for use with robotic arm autosamplers. The threads do not run down to the shoulder of the vial. The 9 mm Screw Thread has a Large Opening. |

GPI (Glass Packaging Institute; formerly GCMI, Glass Container Manufacturers Institute) is responsible for establishing and issuing uniform standards regarding the types of finishes produced by American Glass Manufacturers. When a cap is designated 8-425, the cap is 8 mm in diameter and uses the 425 style thread. Because the "H" dimension is not designated in the size code, the chart below will assist in differentiating styles of finishes having similar thread diameters.
